CY-NC1200-MB Pro is a spectacular monoblock digital power amplifier in our Pro series, capable of driving high performance loudspeaker with demanding power requirements. Powered by Hypex's latest generation Ncore NC1200 module, this amplifier delivers extraordinary musical performance with its superb detail, resolution and soundstage, as well as ultra-low noise distortion and extremely fast transient response. To get the most out of the NC1200's capabilities, our custom-designed BB-SPL7879B-2F buffer board features the cutting-edge Sparkos Labs SS78XX and SS79XX discrete voltage regulators, eliminating any unnecessary noise and interference before the power reaches the Op amps of this buffer board, thus supplying extremely stable power to the module. Combined with a choice of Op Amps such as Sparkos Labs or Sonic Imagery operating in full Class-A, the sound is richer, denser and more delicate while adding warmth and depth. Benefiting from the continuous innovation of digital amplifier technologies over the years, our latest generation of amplifiers not only retains the unique sound characteristics, high efficiency power and lightweight size of previous digital amplifiers, but also provide sound quality comparable to traditional amplifiers on the market that are several times more expensive, whether they are Class-A, Class-AB or even other Class-D types.
To acheive the best possible sound from the CY-NC1200-MB Pro, the quality of the power supply to the buffer board is one of the key factor. After continuous research and testing on the power supply by our R&D team, the following three requirements must be met in order to bring its performance to the next level: first, the power must be stable; second, the power must be sufficient; third, the power must be pure. The first requirement has been fully accomplished by the buffer board's discrete voltage regulators with its most powerful noise reduction capabilities, while the remaining two requirements are fulfilled by using our specially designed LPS-AUX01B-1H auxiliary linear power supply module. With its efficient 30W internal power supply, it secures that the op amps of the buffer board obtain the most sufficient current supply. To ensure that the op amps draw the purest, cleanest power in the entire power chain, the buffer board is powered by its audiophile-grade linear power supply, which perfectly complements the discrete regulators of the buffer board. In addition, a variety of efficient power management functions are also implemented, including the ability to control the power state of the main power supply and support for 12V trigger control switch functions. As for the main power, this amplifier in the Pro Series is supplied by a top-notch switching power supply with low continuous power drop capability, perfectly matches with the NC1200 to maximize its performance so that when listening to songs with large dynamic ranges such as jazz or classical music, the power amplifier has continuous of power supply. In addition to providing power factor correction (PFC) and lower voltage drop compared to the Hypex SMPS, it is also unregulated without feedback loop, so large-capacity capacitors can be safely added. With these powerful features, not only is the sound smoother, more natural, and more harmonious, but even the slightly dull and cold characteristics of this type of digital amplifier are significantly eliminated, making it closer to analog sound.
In the standard configuration of our Pro series, the buffer board of this amplifier comes with a pair of studio-grade Sonic Imagery 990Enh full-discrete Class-A audiophile Op amps, and all connectors are equipped with our carefully selected high quality components, including red copper speaker post and power IEC inlet from Furutech. To bring power quality of the auxiliary linear power supply to perfection, its toroidal transformer has been upgraded to a Noratel sealed high-end model, adopted by numerous well-known high-end audio manufacturers. Independent from the power IEC inlet, the high grade Schurter fuse socket also allows customers to upgrade with different types of audiophile-grade fuses according to their own preferences. Benefiting from internal structure of the modular configuration, Op amps can be replaced with equivalent Sparkos Labs SS2590 or the cutting-edge Weiss OP2-BP upon customers request. Not just limited to Op amps, customers can also choose to upgrade other components, including power IEC inlet, XLR Socket and speaker post as well as Neotech 7N UP-OCC copper internal cable and other accessories. In addition, parallel dual speaker output is provided as an option for loudspeakers that support bi-wiring. In order to allow users to have a better experience during the operation, most of the functions of this amplifier can be controlled through the LCD display button on the front panel, such as system on/off, gain setting, input selection, etc. Lastly, all of our amplifiers also employ a new symmetrical internal and rear panel layout to keep the internal wiring as short as possible.
