CY-NC500-0.2X SE is is a very cost effective dual-channel digital power amplifier with Sub EQ capabilities in our SE series, capable of driving a pair of high performance subwoofers with demanding power requirements. Powered by 2 pcs of Hypex's NC500 modules, this amplifier delivers extraordinary low frequency performance with its extremely tight, deep, well-defined and well-controlled bass, as well as ultra-low noise distortion and extremely fast transient response. To get the most out of the NC500's capabilities, our custom-designed BB-TI4733D-3F buffer board features the high quality TI TPS7A4700/3301 low dropout regulators, eliminating any unnecessary noise and interference before the power reaches the Op amps of this buffer board, thus supplying extremely stable power to the module. In addition to adapting to most of the popular Op amps in the market, it can also be configured with other audiophile-grade Op amps, making the bass richer and warmer while providing a dynamic and impactful performance. Benefiting from the continuous innovation of digital amplifier technologies over the years, our latest generation of amplifiers not only retains the unique sound characteristics, high efficiency power and lightweight size of previous digital amplifiers, but also provides sound quality comparable to traditional amplifiers on the market that are several times more expensive, whether it is Class-A, Class-AB and even other Class-D types.
To acheive the best possible sound from the CY-NC500-0.2X SE, the quality of the power supply to the buffer board and the module are two of the key factors. After continuous research and testing on the power supply by our R&D team, the LPS-MN0102C-3H full linear power supply module has been designed to take the performance of the power supply to the next level, and also provides perfect solutions for the requirements of power supply to the buffer board and the module respectively. For the power supply to the former, the following three requirements must be met: first, the power must be stable; second, the power must be sufficient; third, the power must be pure. The first requirement has been fully accomplished by adapting low dropout regulators with superior noise reduction capabilities, while the remaining two requirements are fulfilled by using this full linear power supply module. With two sets of internal power supplies, it independently powers the buffer board of each channel to secure that the Op amps of each channel obtain the most sufficient current supply. To ensure that the Op amps draw purer and cleaner power in the entire power chain, each set of power supplies uses a high grade linear power supply to power the buffer board, which perfectly complements its low dropout regulators, bringing its power quality closer to perfection. As for the power supply to the latter, this full linear power supply module allocates an additional 1140-watt of clean power supply to power the NC500 modules. After the SE series amplifier is fully switched to a linear power supply, a breakthrough in sound has been accomplished compared to the Hypex switching power supply. Not only is the sound smoother, more natural, and more harmonious, but even the slightly dull and cold characteristics of this type of digital amplifier have been completely removed, making it closer to analog sound. In addition, a variety of efficient power management functions are also implemented, including the ability to control the power state of the main power supply and support for 12V trigger control switch functions.
Introducing its true dual-mono system version, CY-NC500-0.2DX SE, to satisfy customers who cannot compromise on any music details. This model adopts the upgraded LPS-MN0202C-3H full linear power supply module, with two sets of high quality 720 watts main power supplies, to ensure that the power supply of each channel is independent and does not interfere with each other, so that when listening to songs with large dynamic ranges such as jazz or classical music, each channel has continuous of power supply. Through the control buttons on the front panel, various EQ parameters of the sub frequency can be adjusted, including volume control, low frequency cutoff, and phase control, making it user-friendly to integrate with the characteristics of different types of subwoofers to achieve optimal performance. In the standard configuration of our SE series, each buffer board of both models comes with the very popular TI OPA1612 dual Op amps and all connectors are equipped with our carefully selected high quality components. Benefiting from internal structure of the modular configuration, Op amps can be replaced with audiophile-grade Sonic Imagery 994Enh or Sparkos Labs SS2590 full-discrete Class-A dual Op amps upon customers request. Not just limited to Op amps, customers can also choose to upgrade other components before shipment, including power IEC inlet, speaker post and other accessories. Lastly, all of our amplifiers also employ a new symmetrical internal and rear panel layout to keep the internal wiring as short as possible.
